Sealants, Valve Packing, Bonders

Team has been manufacturing on-stream leak sealing products for more than 25 years. Team sealants are manufactured in accordance with strict industry procedures and meet ISO 9001 certification. All products are manufactured in Team’s climate-controlled laboratory to ensure consistent product blending.

Sealants, valve packing, bonders, liquids and fibers are available for more than 300 chemical processes with temperature ranges from cryogenic to 1,700° F and pressures in excess of 6,000 psig.

Special sealants are available for strong oxidizing services and food grade applications. Sealant products are also available for the nuclear industry and those applications that are silica sensitive. All nuclear grade materials are accompanied by an analytical batch analysis report. This report ensures that those elements which contribute to Intergranular Stress Cracking Corrosion (IGSCC) are within industry specifications.

Product Assistance

Technical support is available 24 hours a day to provide assistance in product selection and use. It is strongly advised that only those personnel trained in on-stream leak repair perform these repairs or utilize these materials. Product data sheets, compatibility tables and MSDS sheets can be accessed with a single click of your mouse.

Product Selection

Product selection, as well as proper application is crucial to the success of the repair. As a guideline, the following issues should be considered when selecting the correct product:

Chemical compatibility – All the chemicals in the service application should be verified for their chemical compatibility realizing the effect of their individual component concentrations.

Service operating pressure and severity of leak – Will the addition of fibers be required to prevent extrusion and provide additional bridging?

Service operating temperature and surface temperatures

Size of the sealant cavity or void – Will the addition of liquids be required to increase the sealants travel characteristics?

Necessary cure or work time – Slower curing sealants have better travel characteristics while faster curing sealants enhance leak containment.

Is an elemental analysis or nuclear grade sealant required?

Are silica free or food grade sealants required?
